Wheat Malt is an excellent choice base malt to be used in continental wheat beer styles like Hefeweizen and Kristallweizen, and an essential ingredient in North American Wheat Ales. It can also be used in a lower percentage of the malt grist to increase body, mouthfeel and head retention and impart clean, wheaty flavours for classic wheat beer styles.
In top-fermented beers, Wheat malt performs especially well, adding creaminess, body, and complex wheat flavours.
